GCC Freshman Wing, Kylee Hewitt was recently named to the 2023 NJCAA Division II All Region XIII Women's Basketball Team.  The Hurley, WI native was a model of consistency, hard-work, and passion for the Samsons.  The 5-10 Freshman Wing, started in all 21 contests this season for the Samsons.  Hewitt averaged 12.4 points and 8.4 rebounds.  She also very often took on tough defensive assignments.  She has grown very much throughout the season and is a prime example of what hard-working and dedication can do. She was a great leader for the team, and she set a great example for her teammates.  

Quote from Coach Schreiner "Kylee was our most consistent player this season. You knew what you were going to almost every single day, at practices and games. One of the things that stands out to me about her is she is always the first person in line for drills. When we introduce new things, and it only takes her a few times of doing something to figure it out. On top of all of this, Kylee is a great student and an amazing person to be around. Our team was lucky to have her this season and we're excited about what she will do next season!"
