Ironwood High School recruit Tia Lahti has joined in signing to play volleyball at GCC. Tia played volleyball all 4 years of high school where she received both First and Second Team All-Conference. Tia also played basketball for 3 years and softball for 3 years.

Tia loves to play sports, spend time with her family and friends, and be involved in the community. Tia has had a successful academic career at Ironwood High School and plans to go into General Education at GCC. After her degree, Tia plans to transfer to another college to become a Physical Therapist.

Tia is a 5-8 setter who has a great passion for the game of volleyball. Coach Kanipes stated that, "We are blessed to have local athletes who can compete at the next level and who want to help start our program again. Tia has been on my radar for a while, and I am happy she chose GCC as her home. We look forward to growing her skill set and watching her flourish. Her family is a big part of her life, and I am excited we get to have them in the stands as well."
