GCC Women's Basketball head coach, Cole Schreiner, stepped down after accepting a position closer to home and for family reasons. We wish Cole and his family nothing but the best, and thank him for leading GCC women's basketball  this past year.

We are happy to announce that Denver Sharrow and Tara Tregembo will lead the Samsons Women's Basketball team as co-head coaches for the 2023-2024 season. Denver has served as the assistant for the Samsons men's team, and will remain in this role for the upcoming year. Tara is an alum of the GCC women's basketball team, and currently serves as a faculty member at GCC. Kari Jacquart will continue to serve as the assistant on this year's staff.

"I am excited for Denver and Tara to step into this role as co-head coaches. They are knowledgeable about the game of basketball and both have a competitive nature that I believe will help this program continue to grow. We have a strong core of student-athletes on this year's team, and we are excited to see them take to the court and represent GCC," states Interim President, Vice President of Student Services, and Athletic Director Dr. Jennifer Sabourin.

The Samons boast two sophmore returners to lead the way this season and are excited to get on the court for the first home games of the season at the Lindquist Classic on Saturday, November 25th against North Central!
