Jennifer Sabourin has built an accomplished career as both a collegiate athlete and higher education leader. A 2017 inductee into the Indian Hills Community College Hall of Fame, Sabourin starred as a two-time All-Region and All-American softball player before continuing her career at Union University in Tennessee, where she helped capture an NCCAA National Championship. She concluded her playing career with an outstanding 245-26 team record.

Sabourin returned to Indian Hills as a coach, guiding the Warriors to multiple national tournament appearances in softball and volleyball, before transitioning into higher education administration. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and has since held leadership roles at Indian Hills, Penn State–Altoona, and now Gogebic Community College.

Currently serving as Vice President of Student Services and Athletics and Athletics Director at GCC, Sabourin is committed to building competitive athletic programs while emphasizing academic success and leadership development for student-athletes.

“My goal is for our student-athletes to excel on the court, in the classroom, and as leaders when they transfer to four-year institutions,” said Sabourin. “I want GCC to be recognized for preparing students who contribute and lead wherever they go.”
